Phosphates

Strong detergents generally are high in phosphates. Phosphates increase bacterial growth in natural water causing a decrease in oxygen levels, suffocating biological systems. Squirt Bike Cleaner is a mild, non aggressive cleaner free of phosphates making it safer in for use in the natural environment, often where bikes are washed.

Bike Cleaner is also readily biodegradable and is broken down in watery systems to basic molecules like carbon dioxide, water and methane.
